Happy National Teacher Appreciation Day! ¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo!
We’ve got a packed May full of awesome events – don’t miss out on any of our celebrations listed on our Calendar.
It’s Teacher & Staff Appreciation this week, today thru 5/8. Please share notes of gratitude with your student’s teachers and all staff members who make APG the BEST middle school in the city! Here are a few ways to show your appreciation:
- Say thank you to a teacher or staff member — a note, an email, or even a kind word makes a big difference.
- Check whether your student’s teachers have anything left on their classroom wishlist (Amazon or DonorsChoose) that you can purchase before the year ends.
- APG runs on many hands; please also remember our office clerks, counselors, principals, Beacon before/after school staff, paras, nurse, social worker, health outreach worker, custodians, kitchen team, security, coaches, garden staff, lunch club moderators, and special ed specialists.
It takes a whole community and we are very grateful for every person at APG who helps make it a safe space for our students to thrive. Our PTSA is hosting two staff appreciation lunches this week, on 5/6 and 5/8, to share gratitude with all our wonderful APG staff.
